Art Kearns and Danny Kehoe appearing in “Someone who’ll watch over me”

Art Kearns wins best actor at the underground short film festival

Best Actor Award for ‘Bittersweet’ (Morton Films and Media Ltd.) the film was nominated for Best Short at Dare Media UnderGround Short Film Festival.     

‘Bittersweet’ will also be screened at: Portobello Film Festival – London; 3 Annual Yellow Fever Film Festival – Belfast; Shortday Film Festival – Dublin;  2nd Underground Cinema Film Festival – Dublin; Ballinamore International Film Festival; Underground Cinema VIII – Dublin.
‘Bittersweet’ recently had a screening at Shortwave Cinema in Association Underground Cinema – ’A Celebration of Irish Cinema Shorts Program’ (London) in July, for which Art’s performance was highly praised.

Art returned to Fair City in August playing the part of John Colton. His storyline will be screened in September 2011.
In August, Art finished touring nationally in Conor McPhersons Port Authority. The ran initially at the Matchbox Theatre Dublin, for which he received excellent reviews.
Besides acting, Art also recently debuted as a Director in a piece which he wrote himself called Soft and Chewy at The New Theatre. This piece will be transferred to screen in the coming months.

Art Kearns Latest News!

Art has just finished in Conor McPhersons Port Authority at the Matchbox Theatre Dublin, for which he received excellent reviews. The show will tour nationwide later this year.

Art has also recently debuted as a Director in a piece which he wrote himself called Soft and Chewy at The New Theatre. This piece will be transferred to screen in the coming months.

Bittersweet by Morton Films premiered at The Screen Cinema in May 2011. Art played the lead role in this short film. The film and Art’s performance have received high praise. It is currently being entered into international film festivals.

Art will be returning to Fair City in August in the part of John Colton.
