Aoife Coghlan

Aoife Coghlan is a graduate of the Gaiety School of Acting Full-Time course.

Recently she was filming with Glass Doll Productions as Tanya in Camera Shy. In December Aoife finished shooting with Black Cat Stranded for their eagerly anticipated feature film Death Waits as Michelle. Aoife plays the lead role of Molly, in the independent Irish feature Meeting on the Stairs, written and directed by Lorna Fitzsimons, which was, amongst other festivals screened at The 2012 Galway Film Fleadh. Other screen work includes, Love/Hate series 3, Molly Spring Rice in Basu na gCarad for TG4, Leslie Price in TG4s Roads to Freedom and amongst others, the short films Catchlight as Marion and Happy Hour as Sinead.

Her theatre credits include Vanity in Faustus at Smock Alley, Abigail in And The Angels Shall Rejoice at Exchange Dublin, Mellissa Stern in Business Lunch at the Russian Tea Rooms, Hillary in The Muse Unbidden, at the Project, Antiphola in the Comedy of Errors, Shakespeare in the Park and Sasha in Ivanov and Edna in Waiting for Lefty at Smock Alley. Radio work includes Kapowski in Return of the Bogman Mummy which won the Silver Mark Time Award.

Aoife also writes and performs spoken word poetry and has had some of her work published. She is currently working on a spoken word EP with music producer Levi Tretschinken.
