Saorla Rodger

Saorla Rodger is a Dublin based actor and comedian, originally from Waterford City. She graduated from the Dublin College of Dance in 2021 and the Gaiety School of Acting in 2023.
Saorla recently took part in the devising of the play “An Act of Grace” under Axis Ballymun, which covered themes surrounding women on the autistic spectrum.
Saorla trained in improv with the Groundlings School in Los Angeles and she regularly performs comedy gigs around Dublin. She has been featured at the Club Valentine Comedy hour as well as Mate Comedy. She is also a writer, and performed her self-penned character ‘Denise Byrne’ at the 2023 Edinburgh comedy festival.
Saorla’s voiceover work will be featured in the short film “The Stranger” directed by Corey Millar, due for release in 2024.
Saorla’s new solo show ‘Vultureland’, directed by comedian Francis Breen (Francis Breen is White) is in development for production, along with her play ‘Who’s Your Mammy?’, co-written and to be performed with her creative partner Lynda Smyth.
