Saorla Rodger
Saorla Rodger is a Dublin based actor, comedian and writer originally from Waterford City. She completed her training at the Gaiety School of Acting in 2023.
She recently played the role of Tessa in the Screen Ireland funded short film ‘I Belong’, which screened at the 2025 Dublin International Film Festival.
She has received the Agility Award to develop new theatre work.
In 2024, she played the role of Loveen in Ciaróg Production’s play ‘Pupa’ at the Galway Theatre Festival, which will be returning to the stage later in 2025. In 2024, Saorla’s first one woman show ‘Vultureland’ premiered at the Scene and Heard festival.
Earlier this year, Saorla formed the theatre and comedy collective ‘Lipstink’ with her frequent collaborator Maria Cunningham. Their debut show ‘PORNO’ premiered at the 2025 Scene and Heard Festival.
Saorla trained in improv with the Groundlings in Los Angeles and she regularly performs comedy gigs around Dublin. She has performed comedy at the Club Valentine Comedy Hour (Including their run at the 2024 Dublin Fringe Festival), Mate Comedy, Hysteria, Test Tube Babies, Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Turnstyle in Belfast. She first trained in clown with Raymond Keane and has recently completed additional clown training in London with Michael Barnfather.
