Art Kearns
Art Kearns trained with Tim McDonnell of the Focus Theatre in the Stanislavski Studio Dublin.
Recent theatre credits includes The Passion of Jerome by Dermot Bolger for which he won Best Actor Award at a Chicago Theatre Festival for his part as Jerome; Port Authority by Conor McPherson which toured nationally in 2011; Bug with Purple Heart Theatre Company; Lonestar with the Focus Theatre; and Jesus Hopped The A-Train with the Focus Theatre.
Art’s TV credits include The Tudors (USA Showtime), The Clinic (Elixir Television), Rental Boys (RTE Storyland) and Fair City (RTE) playing the part of Detective John Colton (which is currently showing).
Art’s film credits include leading roles in Bittersweet (Morton Films and Media Ltd) for which he won Best Actor Award and the short was nominated for Best Short Film Award at The Dare Media Underground Short Film Festival 2011, 8.5 Hours (Instigator Films), and WASP (Black Cat Stranded Productions). His portrayal of Frank in 8.5 Hours garnered a lot of praise both nationally and internationally.
