Danny McCafferty
Danny is an Actor, Director and Writer.
A native of the Gaeltacht in Donegal, he is best known for playing Niall Breathnach for several seasons on Ros na Rún (TG4). Other Film/TV credits include Penance (Zanzibar/De Facto Films) Wrecking the Rising (TG4), Out of Innocence (Telegael), Corp & Anam 2 (TG4) and Seacht (BBC).
His Theatre credits includes The Chemsex Monologues (Derry Playhouse) and The Good Doctor (An Grianan Theatre). He also played the lead in the short films Old Firm Day (Avenue Productions), as well as Pat Shortt’s directorial debut Warts & All (Avenue Productions) winning several awards both nationally and internationally.
A former student of Bow Street Academy, he has also studied Screenwriting at the Huston School of Film. With numerous director credits, he recently completed production on his debut feature film The Line which is currently on its festival run with screenings both nationally and internationally.
