Evanne Kilgallon
Evanne is an Actor & Writer from the west of Ireland, with bases in Dublin and Kilkenny.
Evanne is currently filming a leading role in Chris O’Dowd’s ‘Small Town Big Story’ for Sky Studios. Earlier this year she filmed the role of Kate in ‘Obituary’ a new 6 part series (RTÉ/HULU) released September 2023. She stars in the short film ‘Late Bloomers’ by Komo Collective which premiered at this years Gaze festival.
Evanne wrote and starred in her playwriting debut ‘AN LÁR’ (Glass Mask Theatre) in December 2022 to great acclaim. Most recently she debuted an extract from her current work in progress, a one woman show called ‘Jester’s Privilege’. A member of the GMT ensemble, she has also starred in ‘The Twenty Club’, ‘Talk To Me’ and ‘Summerhill’ at the theatre. This summer she performed in the sold out ‘Bench Tales’ for Barnstorm Theatre Co. in the Kilkenny Arts Festival.
A graduate of the Institute of The Arts Barcelona where she studied BA Musical Theatre for a year and completed her studies with a first class honors degree in BA Acting, she has a background in both Acting and Musical Theatre, beginning at a young age. Her final production in university saw her take on the lead role in Federico García Lorca’s epic ‘YERMA’. While still in full time studies, Evanne featured as part of the Women’s History Months’ online celebration for IATI Latinx theatre in New York City in the bilingual production ‘NUESTRA CASA ENVUELTA EN LLAMAS’ by Catalonian writer-director Sílvia Navarro.
Voice Credits include the radio play ‘An Robálaí’ (An tOireachtas) for Seachtain na Gaeilge and the Narrator in Irish for Portuguese short film ‘Rouge’ (Dawn Road Productions). Other theatre credits include ‘Circle of Friends’ at the Gaiety Theatre, ‘Sandwich’ at the New Theatre and ‘The Twenty Club’ at Bewleys Cafe Theatre. Evanne is also a strong Irish speaker and a skilled singer.
